Dachau - by Sam Taylor

Entering the black gates you start to realize what you are entering. The drama, pain, anguish and horror all combine into one fluent rush that hits you as the tower swallows you.

Immediately you are faced with a gravel square that if it weren't for the houses and buildings would surely assemble a desolate desert. The wide open space once over flowing with innocent victims now is only home to the memories that remain.

Though not much of the threatening "hell on earth" camp remains beside the sickening ovens and a few buildings the presence of a ghostly shadows is undeniable.

  1. Thank you Sam for talking about your experience at Dachau. It is a place where emotions are almost indescribable and it leaves you forever changed. Keep reflecting on what you see and experience on this trip.
