Paris... in words
Good afternoon parents,
We've already had a few very busy days in Paris. We've managed to see most of the sights and take in much of the Parisian shopping and food! Today we spent the morning doing a walking tour of the French Revolution (did you know that the people didn't actually throw produce at Marie Antoinette, because it was too valued and expensive - instead they threw stones). After the walking tour we visited the Notre Dame (on Easter Sunday?!? - it was chaos). From the Notre Dame we went to a museum to see Napoleon's tomb (a 7 layered coffin - in Hughes' words - he's never getting out). From the tomb we went onto the Eiffel Tower and visited the 3rd (and top) floor, it was windy and cold but worth all the effort. Finally, we enjoyed a boat trip down the river and had a chance to see all the sites once more (except Ms. Davidson - she was having a little trouble staying awake).
Dinner was, once again, top notch (aside from the fact that Carter left his hat behind!).
All students are accounted for and in their rooms.
Tomorrow we are off to Euro Disney and then at 2AM we leave for the airport to being our journey home.
We look forward to seeing you all at the airport!

PARIS
Today we went to Versailles, the home of the Bourbon Kings and one of the sites of the French Revolution. Versailles and the gardens are extremely beautiful. The students learned some very important information and saw firsthand the opulence of the Nobility during this time. Then we travelled to The Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa, the Coronation of Napoleon, Liberty, The Venus de Milo .... A wonderful experience and one that not too many people get to enjoy. Tomorrow, off to the Tower, Les Invalids, the Arch Triomphe ....

Paris!
We've arrived!
And.... Are sorry about the lack of blogging etc... Last night our hotel didn't have Internet (built in the 14th cent, no a shock there was no net). Needless to say, the stop was very beautiful!!
Today was a very long day filled with transit and sites. Hopefully tomorrow we can get some photos and kids writing posted again!
All students are safe, sound and having fun!
